Chevrolet is planning to take the Geneva Motor Show by storm, with the launch of the new Chevrolet Cruze Station Wagon.
Utilising the impressive chassis that made the Cruze model a hit amongst its motoring fans, the new edition will feature both saloon and hatchback versions.
Previous versions have proved extremely popular with car owners across the globe. Combined worldwide sales of the saloon version are in excess of one million.
Details of full pricing and model specifications will be announced later this year, just prior to the car's on-sale date.
Susan Docherty, Managing Director and Chevrolet Europe President, said, "The Cruze Station Wagon caters to an important market segment. It ticks all the boxes for European drivers in terms of distinctive design, dynamic driving, space and economy."
The spacious Cruze Station Wagon benefits from ample storage space. Its engine also provides both fuel and energy efficiency. The diesel engine boasts start-stop technology as standard and CO2 emissions of a mere 119g/km.
The Station Wagon is 4,678mm in length. This is longer than both the hatchback (4,510mm) and saloon (4,597mm). The car has a large storage capacity from 500 litres up to almost 1,500 litres if rear seats are folded down.
Other models will also be making their first outing on the Continent at the Geneva Motor Show. They include the TRU 140S and CODE 130R sports car concepts, which also take features from the Cruze.
The design of TRU140S two-door sports car was the vision of Nicholas David, a member of the Royal College of Art in London. While the CODE 130R, a two-door, four seater coupe was the brainchild of Joe Baker, who studied car design at Coventry University.
