Bugatti is reportedly preparing to reveal a new world record breaking version of the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse convertible at the Shanghai Motor Show.
The firm has teased the new car, which appears to be called the Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Convertible (WRC), on its official Facebook page with the image you see above. Unfortunately, as you've probably noticed, the image does not show a car so we'll have to speculate as to what the new model will actually look like.
Bugatti describes the forthcoming model as "the latest example of exceptional Bugatti performance." Media reports have suggested that the car has already achieved a top speed of 254.069mph at VW's Ehra-Lessien test track in Germany, making it the world's fastest convertible.
The hard-top version of the car was named the world's fastest car back in 2010, after hitting 267mph at Ehra-Lessien; however, the title was recently rescinded after it was revealed that Bugatti had removed the car's electronic speed limiter for the record-breaking run.
