Toyota have upgraded the safety packages offered on their Aygo city car and Yaris supermini ranges.
The Toyota Safety Sense package, which has already been offered on the Avensis and Auris models, will now be available on both the Toyota Aygo and the Yaris.
For an extra £375 on the Aygo, Toyota Safety Sense adds a laser-controlled Pre-Collision System with Pre-Crash Brake and Autonomous Emergency Braking. Lane Departure Alert function is also included in the Toyota Safety Sense package, monitoring lane markings on the road and alerting the driver with visual and audible warnings if the car deviates without indicating.
Toyota Safety Sense is also available across the Yaris range, Active spec models excepted, priced at an additional £400. The package boasts the same features as it does for the Aygo, but with the addition of the Automatic High Beam system which detects both the headlights of oncoming vehicles, and the tail lights of vehicles ahead, and automatically switches between high and low beams to avoid dazzling other drivers.
Aygo and Yaris are now available for purchase with the Toyota Safety Sense package from Toyota’s network of approved dealers.
