Aston Martin used the British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone to give the UK public a first glimpse of the new Valkyrie hypercar in action.
The display wasn’t a sales pitch however, as all 150 road-going examples of the Valkyrie have already been snapped up, but was simply an opportunity to showcase the 1,160bhp monster’s capability. The Valkyrie was easily at home on the Silverstone circuit, designed as it was in part by Formula One legend Adrian Newey, and with a racing version to be developed for future entrance into the FIA World Endurance Championship.
“To finally see Aston Martin Valkyrie running five years from when I first sat down and started sketching what this car could look like is quite an emotional day”, said Newey.
