If you're a super-rich speed freak looking for an expensive and elaborate way of killing yourself to death, we think we've found the perfect car for you.

Well, we say car, what we actually mean is that we've found the perfect quad bike for you. Called the Wazuma V8F Matt Edition, it's the work of a clearly bonkers French engineering firm by the name of Lazareth.

What Lazareth have done is take a quad bike and slot into it the 250bhp 3.0-litre V8 engine from a Ferrari. This means a power-to-weight-ratio of 385bhp per tonne which should make for some, ahem, spirited performance. The power is sent to the wheels through the gearbox from a BMW M3 and although Lazareth are not revealing how fast the Matt Edition will go, we can't imagine it's lacking for speed.

The whole thing sits on huge 315 section 18-inch tyres which are fitted with some fairly beefy Brembo brakes. Styling-wise, there's more than a hint of the Tumbler Batmobile about it.

The price for all this lunacy? £154,800. So, it's this or a Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Spyder. What would you choose?
