This convertible is stylish and sophisticated, featuring a metallic paint finish and leather seating, whilst seating four occupants and boasting an impressive range of safety and security measures to ensure the drivers and passengers of this vehicle have an enjoyable but safe experience. It delivers excellent performance through the huge engine and the ride is smooth. However, the model will be costly in terms of maintenance.

PROS:  This Jaguar convertible comes already fitted with Bluetooth, MP3 connectivity, satellite navigation, leather seating and rear parking sensors. Plus the car's safety and security has been well established.

CONS:  The CO2 emissions emitted by this convertible are massively impactful and as a result the car is in road tax band M, which is very expensive. The car is also very costly to insure, in group 48.

Behind the Wheel

This car has a fast top speed of 155mph, and can travel incredibly fast from 0mph to 62mph in 5.5 seconds. The car's overall speed and its ability to reach 62mph quickly is influenced by the power output at 385bhp, plus the car has a strong torque at 380 lb-ft.

The model boasts typically excellent handling and road grip, while the ride is smooth and refined. Steering is smooth and responsive, allowing the car to glide effortlessly through corners. The XK is an incredibly fun car to drive.

Looks & Equipment

The XK is an incredibly stylish model and comes with a host of exciting features that reflect advances in technology, including satellite navigation and rear parking sensors. Also standard is MP3 connectivity, Bluetooth, climate control and electric front windows and door mirrors.

The car's external appearance comes equipped with alloy wheels and metallic paint.

The interior is also stylish and sophisticated, as leather seating is fitted within the car. Not only does it make the car more refined, but the driver and passengers will have a far more comfortable journey in this vehicle.

Practicality, Safety & Reliability

The car's warranty is average as it lasts for three years, but the miles are unlimited within this time frame, which is an attractive feature. Its safety has been well established, which is particularly important. The car is equipped with a driver airbag, passenger airbag as well as airbags in the front side area of the vehicle.

Boot space, as expected, is not great. When the rear seats are upright there is just 313 litres of additional space. The car seats four occupants, but room is a little restricted in the rear, and with only two doors, access isn't as good as it could be.

In terms of security the car is fitted with central locking and an alarm.

Value for Money

The Jaguar XK 5.0 Portfolio Convertible 2dr brand new costs £76,550. The model is expensive, but comes with an impressive array of standard equipment and delivers excellent performance.

Running costs are enormous, with the model falling under road tax band M and insurance group 48. The car also runs on 25.2mpg, which is to be expected from such a large engine, but will evidently mean regular trips to the petrol station.
