Toyota has revealed another teaser image of the Hybrid-R concept which will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
The new teaser image is the second image of the new concept, following on from the image of the car's badge which was revealed last week.
Although the teaser image reveals very little on first impressions, a quick tweak in Photoshop appears to reveal that the Hybrid-R will be based on the Yaris. This is confirmed by Toyota who claims that the car will be based on a current Toyota production model.
The Japanese manufacturer has also confirmed that the Hybrid-R will use powertrain technology similar to that used in Toyota Racing's TS030 Hybrid racing car, with a combination of an internal combustion engine and electric motors providing a maximum power output of more than 400bhp.
The Hybrid-R will also be available with what Toyota calls a 'dual mode control' which allows the car's performance to be tailored to suit either the road or the racetrack.
The Toyota Hybrid-R will be unveiled in Frankfurt on 10 September.
