Ssangyong has confirmed it will reveal two new development concepts, dubbed the XIV-Air and the XIV-Adventure at the 2014 Paris Motor Show next month.

Both the XIV-Air and the XIV-Adventure are near-production ready concepts of the soon to be launched X100 SUV, which is set to rival the likes of the Nissan Juke.

Ssangyong claims the concepts are based on the brand’s philosophy of ‘Robust, Speciality and Premium’ and are based on the design theme of ‘Nature born – 3 Motion,’ whatever that means.

The XIV-Air and XIV-Adventure are powered by either a 1.6-litre petrol or 1.6-litre diesel engine, the latter of which reaches the new Euro 6 emissions standards.

The new Ssangyong X100 will go on sale next year.
