The Infiniti LE Concept is due to make its European debut at the Paris Motor Show next month.

The LE is an all-electric car with zero tailpipe emissions. At the moment it's just a concept; however, Infiniti is serious about putting it to production and it's very likely to be sold here in Britain.

The LE is powered by a 134bhp electric motor with 240lb-ft of torque, and due to the nature of electric motors, all of this torque will be readily available the moment you bury your right foot.

Infiniti claims a 100-mile range for the LE and states that thanks to a new quick charger, it can be charged up to 80% of capacity in just half an hour. The Japanese company are also looking into the viability of a wireless charging system.

Infiniti Executive Bernard Loire said, "A luxury car for a new generation of sustainable luxury buyers must not compromise on performance. Buyers want 'green,' but won't settle for any aspect of the driving experience being less than that of their current luxury vehicles."

A production version of the LE Concept is scheduled to go into production in 2014.
