The final instalment of Footballers' Cars. Players earning more in a week than most of us earn in several years, and driving cars that we can only dream of.
Cristiano Ronaldo - Bentley Continental GT
Real Madrid’s Ronaldo with his Bentley Continental GT, one of the many premium cars in his collection. He must have missed the disabled sign when parking up.
Pele - Mercedes W111
One from the archive – Pele, king of football, looking happy next to his Blue Mercedes. The Brazilian legend won 3 world cups and scored over 1000 goals for club and country. Not bad achievements.
Robin Van Persie - Audi S5
Premier League top scorer 2 years running, Dutchman Robin van Persie has established himself as one of the best strikers in world football. After 8 years with Arsenal, he made a big money move to Manchester United and helped them to the league title in his first season. Here he is with his Audi S5.
Sergio Ramos - Audi Q7
Another Real Madrid player, another Audi Q7. This time it's defender Sergio Ramos who’s opted for the large crossover in black. Free cars for footballers earning millions every year – life really isn’t fair.
Rio Ferdinand - Aston Martin Vanquish
Twitter addict and Manchester United centre back Rio Ferdinand has an impressive collection of cars. Here he is in his Aston Martin Vanquish on his way home to tweet about it.
Robbie Savage - Lamborghini Murcielago
Someone has just told Robbie Savage that Aston Villa have been relegated. The goldilocks double and former Birmingham City slide tackler will be sad to find out that the new isn’t true, although he’ll take comfort in the fact he does own a white Lamborghini Gallardo.
Roberto Carlos - Bugatti Veyron
Who wouldn’t want to own a Bugatti Veyron? The world’s fastest car can reach speeds of over 250mph and accelerate from 0 – 62mph in 2.8 seconds. Brazilian free kick magician, Bobby Carlos, is getting ready to take his out on the autobahn.
Robinho - Lamborghini Gallardo
Former Manchester City forward Robinho in his Gallardo.
Shay Given - Piaggio Ape
Irish shot stopper Shay Given isn’t interested in expensive, extravagant vehicles. His 3-wheeler Piaggio Ape gets him from A to B just fine, and there’s plenty of room for a few sacks of spuds in the back.
Stephen Ireland - Audi R8
If you’re out and about and spot a premium vehicle in two colours, the chances are it will belong to Stephen Ireland. His Audi R8 actually looks half-decent in red and white, but you may also be aware of another model in his collection – a black Range Rover with pink rims. Yes you read correctly. Sort it out, Stephen.
Steven Gerrard - Jaguar XK
Mr Liverpool generally does his talking on the pitch. A model pro, he often stays clear of the lime light outside of football. However, he’s no stranger to a luxury lifestyle and you can see that by looking at his car collection, which includes this Jaguar XK. Gerrard has also notched up 100 caps for England’s national side.
Sulley Muntari - Lamborghini Gallardo
Yet another Lamborghini Gallardo, this black one belongs to former Portsmouth man Sulley Muntari. The Ghana international has spent most of his career in Italy.
Theo Walcott - Ferrari 458 Italia
It seems a crime against aesthetics to choose a Ferrari in any other colour but red; nevertheless Theo Walcott has done exactly that and opted for his 458 Italia in yellow. The Arsenal forward also owns a black Ferrari.
Edwin Van Der Sar - Bentley Continental GT Speed
Former Manchester United and Fulham goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar treated himself to a pricey Christmas gift. He doesn’t get to move around too much when he’s in between the sticks, but he won’t be taking much time getting places in this Bentley Continental GT Speed; it can reach 60mph from a standstill in 4.3 seconds and tops out at 200mph.
Wayne Rooney - Range Rover
Manchester United and England star Wayne Rooney has come a long way since the days when he drove a Ford Ka at Everton. He now has a fine collection of cars, including this Overfinch Range Rover.
Zinedine Zidane - Range Rover
One of the greatest players ever to kick a ball, Zinedine Zidane is seen here opting for a car which has become synonymous with footballers – the Range Rover. The midfield dynamo has scored some spectacular goals in his time, but unfortunately will always be remembered by some for his infamous sending off in the 2006 World Cup Final when playing for France – the last game of his career.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic - Maserati Granturismo
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, league winning extraordinaire and speaker of memorable quotes, has an impressive car collection. He is seen here in a jovial mood on the way to training in his Maserati Granturismo. Incredibly, he was won the league title 9 times in his last 10 seasons. These include 6 Serie A titles with 3 different clubs, an Eredivisie, a La Liga and a Ligue 1 crown.
Arsene Wenger once invited him for a trial at Arsenal. Nonplussed, he replied “Zlatan doesn’t do auditions”.
