Ferrari will be displaying both contemporary and historic models in the grounds of Windsor Castle this weekend as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Pageant.
The cars will be on display for the duration of the event and will be joined by another Italian icon, the 4th Mounted Carabinieri who will perform the 'Historic Carosello', an equestrian show choreographed to music.
Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo will be in attendance on the last night of the pageant as will Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
Ferrari claims that, "it is a source of great pride … to be making such a significant contribution to the celebration and also that two such internationally renowned representatives of Italian excellence have the opportunity to pay tribute to one of the most important Monarchs of our time."
The Royal Family have an impressive fleet of cars, including a selection of Bentleys, Rolls-Royces and Jags. Prince Charles also has an Aston Martin DB6 and the Queen has a Land Rover Defender, amongst others. To our knowledge, no member of the Royal Family has ever owned a Ferrari, so it will be interesting to see what the Queen makes of the Italian flair on display this weekend.
The Diamond Jubilee Pageant takes place from May 10th to 13th. All tickets have already been sold.
