Alfa Romeo UK has announced that its 4C supercar will make its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this year.
The exclusive ‘Launch Edition’ of the model will be seen in action by the public for the first time as it ascends the famous Hill Climb course of the prestigious festival, which takes place between 12th - 14th July.
The eagerly anticipated compact supercar was seen by the world for the first time at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, which took place in March, where it received widespread critical acclaim. It is a mid-engined, rear wheel drive – as was its predecessor, the 33 Stradale – and both cars will be displayed by Alfa at the festival.
The compact design of the Alfa Romeo 4C make it incredibly agile, aerodynamic and efficient; and as such it will no doubt offer an exciting driving experience. The model is 118cm high, 2m wide and less than 4m long. It can accelerate from 0 – 62mph in just 4.5 seconds and tops out at faster than 155mph. Moreover, the Alfa DNA selector features a new Race mode in addition to the original Dynamic, Natural and All Weather options.
The Head of Brand at Alfa Romeo UK, Damien Dally, had this to say: “The Goodwood Festival of Speed is a spectacular celebration of motoring drawing automotive enthusiasts from all over the country and even Europe. What better event for the Alfa 4C to make a thrilling UK debut? We can’t wait to see the crowd reaction as this fantastic car takes to the famous Hill Climb for the very first time. This will be a Festival of Speed to remember for Alfa Romeo.”
