The Porsche 911 GTS PDK is an excellent sports car which can be used on a daily basis. Porsche purists may baulk at the GTS with its wide rear track but, for the rest of us, the GTS is a superb car.

PROS:  The 911 GTS delivers awe-inspiring performance, fast and precise steering, phenomenal grip and a wondrous flat six engine. A true everyday supercar

CONS:  The GTS will be expensive to buy and run and there is very little space in the rear seats. There is quite a lot of road noise at speed too thanks to the fat rear tyres.

Behind the Wheel

The Porsche 911 GTS's 3.8-litre flat six engine churns out 402bhp and 309lb-ft of torque. 0-62mph takes a very impressive 4.4 seconds and flat out you'll be doing 189mph.

The handling, as you would expect, is superb and the 911 GTS has grip by the bucket load. The steering is fast, accurate and well weighted and provides the driver with loads of feedback through the wheel.

Looks & Equipment

The 911 GTS is a fantastic looking car and looks even more aggressive thanks to its slightly wider body and track. The interior is also a model of quality and precision engineering and everything feels like it was built to last.

Standard equipment includes alloys, air-con, climate control, electric windows and a CD player. Optional extras include Sat-Nav (£1311), Bluetooth (£445), MP3 connectivity (£227), rear parking sensors (£348), cruise control (£299) and metallic paint (£745).

Practicality, Safety & Reliability

The Porsche 911 GTS PDK 3dr is equipped with twin front, side and curtain airbags and a sophisticated stability control system. The car has been awarded a maximum five-star rating for resisting drive-away theft and four stars for resisting forced entry.

911s are very reliable cars thanks to their faultless German engineering and are supplied with a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty as standard.

The rear seats are strictly for children - and small children at that - and the boot is very small with just 105-litres on offer.

Value for Money

At £80,895, the 911 GTS PDK is very expensive to buy, especially considering the mean amount of standard equipment on offer. It will also be pricey to run, managing just 27.4mpg (combined) and emitting 242g/km of CO2 which means it falls under VED band L.
