For a saloon car this model is expensive to purchase, run and maintain. Although it does come well equipped with an array of technological features alongside good security and safety fixtures, there are other saloon models that offer just as much, and deliver better fuel economy for a lesser purchase price.

PROS:  This model is fast at can reach a top speed of 155mph. The car comes equipped with leather seating, rear-parking sensors, cruise control, MP3 connectivity and Bluetooth, all of which are appealing bonuses to drivers.

CONS:  For a saloon vehicle the car is not particularly efficient on fuel, and its CO2 emissions are high. Satellite navigation comes at an additional cost of £2,400, and metallic paint is charged at a costly £679. These extras are not so expensive with other cars.

Behind the Wheel

This model has a top speed of 155mph, which is quite quick for a typical saloon. It is also quite fast at travelling from 0mph to 62mph as the speed can be completed in a hasty 6.2 seconds. The car runs on average at 27.7mpg, which is not at all efficient, so fuel costs be especially demanding.

The car produces 235g/km of CO2 emissions, which is a damaging amount, so consumers will not be reducing their carbon footprint with this vehicle. The car's power output is 315bhp and the torque is 265lb-ft.

Looks & Equipment

The cars equipment is impressive. Bluetooth is an important piece of technology to increase driver safety whilst making in car phone calls, and MP3 connectivity can cater in car entertainment to the drivers and passengers taste. These features are sure to excite consumers.

The car also has practical components. These include rear-parking sensors to guide drivers when parking to reduce the chances of hitting an obstacle, and cruise control makes longer journeys far more enjoyable.

Satellite navigation is not included in the purchase price of this vehicle, however this intelligent technology can be purchased for an expensive sum of £2,400, which is an extraordinary amount to charge in comparison to other car companies.

Air conditioning is not included with this vehicle, but it is compensated with climate control. Electric door mirrors and electric front windows improve the convenience for the driver and passengers.

The interior of this car is made stylish and more comfortable as leather seating is a standard fitting with this car. The exterior is enhanced with alloy wheels, and owners can enrich the car's appearance by painting the car in metallic, although this will cost an additional £679.

The car's safety has been well thought through. Whilst some car companies charge additional costs for three airbags, as opposed to two this model comes already fitted with a driver airbag, passenger airbag as well as airbags in the front side of the vehicle.

Practicality, Safety & Reliability

This car is covered under warranty for three years, and up to 60,000 miles. This time frame is standard and often the minimum a company will offer. Some car companies offer five years with unlimited mileage.

In terms of security, the car is fitted with central locking. The car also has an alarm, providing ultimate protection in the event of a theft or break in.

The practical side of the car is quite generous, which is typical for a saloon vehicle. When the rear seats are upright there is 500 litres of boot space for belongings or storage, which is particularly spacious for a saloon vehicle of this build.

Value for Money

To purchase this vehicle brand new consumers will have to fork out £35,580. This is an expensive price for a saloon vehicle and some consumers may question why satellite navigation is not included, and as there is such an expensive charge for this technology some consumers may refrain from considering this car as an option.

The car is practical as it can seat five occupants and has four doors, which is far more convenient than a three-door vehicle. This is not the most cost effective choice as its insurance group, tax band and running costs are not great, but equally it is not the most expensive choice of car.
