The Volkswagen Touareg now has a new more powerful top-of-the-range model.
Priced from £52,635, the Touareg SEL now comes with a 335bhp, 3.0-litre V6 TSI petrol engine that thrusts the luxury SUV from standstill to 62mph in a fraction under six seconds.
Peak power output comes between 5,300 and 6,400 rpm, and is delivered to all four wheels via Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. A limited slip differential is included as standard for optimal road handling.
Having hit 62mph in just 5.9 seconds, the new flagship model continues all the way to a top speed of 155 mph, making it the fastest Touareg available.
Maximum towing weight is 3,500kg, with CO2 emissions of 203g/km and fuel ecomony of 31.7 mpg combined.
Orders books are open now, with UK deliveries to commence next month April.
