Volvo have updated their flagship XC90 SUV.
The Volvo XC90 now includes an advanced kinetic energy-recovery braking system, creating a hybrid-electrified powertrain that offers up to 15 per cent fuel savings and emission reductions. The new option compliments Volvo’s existing T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid electrified XC90 model as the company pursues its aim of moving away from internal combustion-only power.
The XC90 has been refreshed on the outside too, with new wheels, exterior colours, and new grille.
The latest active safety technology includes City Safety with Autobrake and Blind Spot Information Systems. The Oncoming Lane Mitigation system first introduced on the XC60 is now also available on the XC90, while the Cross Traffic Alert technology now also offers autobrake. The XC90 is now also compatible with Android Auto.
The updated XC90 range will be available to order from Volvo retailers from next month, with full pricing details to be announced shortly.
