A new R-Design version of the Volvo V60 estate is available to order now priced from £35,410.

Volvo V60 R-Design models are treated to a sportier look thanks to a high-gloss black finish for the mesh front grille, door mirror housings, and window frames, integrated roof rails, twin tailpipe surrounds, and 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. Also included as standard are LED front foglights and front parking sensors.

Inside the cabin is a black headlining, sports pedals, sports leather steering wheel, leather gear lever, R-Design-branded tread plates, part-leather front sports seats with cushion extensions and multi-directional lumbar support, metal mesh interior inlays, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and a central rear armrest with built-in storage and cupholders. The standard V60 equipment list already includes a nine-inch touchscreen control system, two-zone climate control, automatic headlights with active high beam, 12.3-inch driver’s information display, a powered tailgate, Volvo’s City Safety suite of collision-avoidance aids, and along with Sensus connectivity including satellite-navigation, voice-activated control and a 10-speaker audio system.

Accompanying the sportier appearance is a sports-tuned suspension with stiffer spring rates, faster-responding monotube dampers, thicker anti-roll bars and a 12mm lower ride height. R-Design models can be selected with any of the current V60 Drive-E engine range, including the D3 and D4 diesels with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, and the T5 petrol automatic. Automatic versions feature paddle shifts on the steering wheel. Fuel economy of up to 62.9mpg is achievable, with CO2 emissions as low as 119g/km for the D4 manual.

Starting from £37,660, R-Design Pro versions add 19-inch alloy wheels, dark-tinted rear windows, active bending headlights with adaptive shadow technology, puddle lights, Keyless entry and engine start, hands-free tailgate, multi-coloured interior lighting, head-up display, front seat integrated heaters, and power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory setting.

The new Volvo V60 R-Design can be ordered now at Volvo retailers with first customer deliveries anticipated later this year.
