Volvo has announced the price list for the new V40 R-Design and V40 Cross Country.
Prices for the new 'sports inspired' R-Design start from £22,295, while the 'off-road' Cross Country will cost from £22,595.
The V40 R-Design gets a different front bumper to the rest of the V40 range, a rear diffuser, five-spoke 17-inch alloys, silver matte door mirrors, R-Design embossed nubuck upholstery and a sports steering wheel and pedals. A TFT crystal display screen and LED daytime-running lights are also included as standard.
Buyers can also opt to upgrade to the R-Design Lux, which features xenon headlights, rain-sensing wipers, leather seats, cruise control and keyless start.
The V40 Cross Country, Volvo claims, is the "answer to those customers that want a small 5-door hatchback but with a more 'off-road' and rugged look." Massive market, that.
The Cross Country comes with automatically-folding door mirrors, ground lights, black mirror covers, 16-inch alloys, rain-sensing wipers, tread plates and silver roof rails as standard.
Upgrading to the Cross Country Lux model will also give you leather-faced upholstery, xenon headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime-running lights and theatre lighting.
Both the V40 R-Design and the V40 Cross Country are available to order now, with the first deliveries expected in January 2013.
