Volvo Cars are celebrating after the most successful sales month in their 88-year history.

They sold 49,055 cars worldwide in November, up by more than a quarter on the same month last year. The United States proved the most spectacular growth area, up by an incredible 90.5%, but with European sales up by nearly a quarter and sales in the emerging Chinese market up by 15.8% compared to November 2014 it was good news all round for Volvo.

The domestic Swedish market continued to be a solid foundation for Volvo’s success, with the brand reporting an overall market share of 24.3%.

The Volvo XC90 has proved particularly popular across all markets, however Volvo are far from resting on their laurels with the all-new S90 Premium due to be unveiled in Gothenburg this week as the brand works towards a complete renewal of its range over the next four years with a stated target of reaching an annual sales figure of 800,000 units worldwide.
