Volkswagen have offered a first glimpse of the next generation Amarok pick-up.
The images revealed today show a heavily redesigned double cab example of the popular Amarok, which will boast passenger car-like on-road handling and premium feel interior in a bid to woo SUV buyers into the pick-up market. Despite this, and the striking new appearance, Volkswagen say the Amarok will still be true to its classic pick-up roots with rugged off-road capability and – in double cab form – a 2.52 sq m cargo bed.
Full specification is to be revealed closer to the launch date for the new Volkswagen Amarok, which for UK customers is expected to be towards the end of 2016.
