Volkswagen have announced changes to trim and engine options on the Tiguan and Tiguan Allspace models.
SE and SE Nav trims on the Volkswagen Tiguan have been replaced by a new higher-spec Match trim level. Match adds a rear view camera, park assist, keyless entry and 19-inch Victoria alloy wheels. Prices for the Tiguan Match start at £26,750 on-the-road.
R-Line trim has also been replaced by a new R-Line Tech trim, which now includes area view, Park Assist, Keyless entry, and full electric tailgate operation. Prices for the Tiguan R-Line start at £33,150 on-the-road.
Meanwhile, a new option on the Tiguan range is a 227bhp 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine. With the new engine the Tiguan can do 0-62mph in 6.3 seconds, and has a top speed of 142 mph. The new engine is offered in both R-Line Tech and SEL trim levels, and comes as standard with 4MOTION all-wheel drive and a 7-speed DSG gearbox. A WLTP-approved fuel economy figure of 36.7 mpg is returned, with CO2emissions of 175 g/km. Tiguan SEL models powered by the new engine are priced from £35,820 on-the-road.
The latest Tiguan range is available at Volkswagen retailers.
