Official September sales stats from the Society of Motor Manufacturers have given Vauxhall plenty of reasons to be cheerful.
The ever-popular Corsa achieved 10,660 sales during the crucial plate-change month, making it the UK’s second most popular new car. With the all-new Grandland X, Insignia, and Mokka also leading players in their respective sectors, Vauxhall grabbed its biggest share of the UK new car market for 18 months. In total, Vauxhall sold 33,897 cars last month, giving it a market share of 8.6%, up from 7.3% in September 2017 and the highest figure achieved by the brand since March last year.
“September was an exceptional month for Vauxhall with sales results that we can be truly proud of,” said Stephen Norman, Vauxhall’s Managing Director.
