Vauxhall have announced ambitious plans to add five new models to its already comprehensive range over the next twelve months.
“2017 will be a landmark year for Vauxhall,” said Vauxhall Chairman and Managing Director Rory Harvey.
The company plans to introduce a new flagship model in the form of the new Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport, an all-wheel-drive, coupe-inspired five-door premium hatchback. This will soon be joined in the Insignia line up by a new Sports Tourer model. Replacing the existing Sports Tourer, the new model will take many design cues from the Monza Concept unveiled by Vauxhall three years ago. A third Insignia, the Country Tourer, will also come along next year, bringing all-wheel drive and off-road looks to the range.
Early next year will also see the launch of the Vauxhall Crossland X, a new crossover model aimed at urban motorist looking for agility and convenience around town but the comfort and performance to tackle longer journeys.
Completing Vauxhall’s 2017 launch programme will be an as yet unnamed C-segment crossover, which the manufacturer says will be a sporty design similar in size to the Astra and Zafira Tourer.
