Vauxhall sold 5,455 examples of the all-new Corsa in July, making it the UK’s best-selling car for the second month in a row.
The recently introduced fifth-generation Corsa is the first to be available in fully-electric form - as well as conventional diesel or petrol propulsion – in the 27-year history of the model, a move which has helped ensure it remains as popular as ever. More than 2.1 million Vauxhall Corsas have been sold in the UK since it first appeared in 1993.
The addition of an all-electric Corsa is part of Vauxhall’s plan to introduce electrification across the range. The latest all-electric offering from Vauxhall is the Vivaro-e LCV, the marques first all-electric van, which has now entered production. This is already proving to be a hit with buyers, with an order for 1,000 already received from British Gas.
