The Vauxhall Corsa GSi is to return after an absence of 25 years.
The GSi name was used briefly following the UK launch of the original Corsa in 1993 - a 105bhp hot hatch capable of 0-60mph in just 9.2 seconds – and now the current generation will also be getting a GSi version.
It will be available in three-door form only, with sporty design features including large air intakes, a honeycomb grille, deep sill extensions, and carbon-trimmed body parts, 18-inch alloy wheels, chrome tailpipe, and a deep rear spoiler that also provides extra downforce at higher speeds. Inside are leather Recaro seats, leather sports steering wheel, aluminium pedals, and Vauxhall’s IntelliLink infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The Corsa GSi will be fitted with the suspension and brakes – with red-painted calipers – found on the Corsa VXR.
Full information on the new Vauxhall Corsa GSi will be available closer to launch later this year.
