Vauxhall have confirmed that prices for the all-new Insignia GSi will start from £33,375 on-the-road.
Launched at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the all-new Vauxhall Insignia GSi will be available in both Grand Sport and Sport Tourer body styles, powered by either 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol or 2.0-litre BiTurbo diesel engine.
It will arrive in UK showrooms in March next year, and comes with an impressive pedigree having been developed at the Nürburgring in Germany, where it became the fastest Vauxhall to have lapped the iconic track. The performance variant of the Vauxhall’s flagship Insignia model, the GSi is 160kg lighter than its predecessor the Insignia VXR. It includes all-wheel drive with torque vectoring, mechatronic FlexRide chassis, Brembo four-cylinder brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres on 20-inch rims.
Both engine options come paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and shift-paddles on the steering wheel. In Grand Sport body style the Insignia GSi achieves 0-60mph in 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 155mph. CO2 emissions are 197g/km (petrol) or 192g/km (diesel).
Sports Tourer body style is available from £34,875 on-the-road, again with either engine, with CO2 emissions of 199g/km (petrol) and 192g/km (diesel).
Externally, the Insignia GSi features chrome air intakes, front and rear GSi bumpers, side sills, a large GSi rear spoiler on Grand Sport models, and IntelliLux LED matrix headlamps. Inside are full-leather front sports seats, aluminium pedals, eight-inch colour information display with navigation, plus a Bose sound system and head-up display.
