An artist has created an image of the Chevrolet Volt with special paint which glows when shown under ultraviolet light.

When viewed under normal light, the artwork looks like a normal painting, but when viewed under 'black' light, the image appears to 'come to life' and rise in front of the backdrop.

Ian Cook, an automotive artist from Solihull, West Midlands, created the picture using radio-controlled Chevrolet Camaros dipped in UV paint.

Cook said, "This is, quite simply, the hardest piece of work I've ever created," said Cook. "I was more or less creating it blind."

The image was created during a workshop held by the SMMT (Society of Motor Manufacturers) in London.
