Toyota has announced two new models for its Aygo city car range.

A new Aygo x-cite model has been introduced, priced from £11,295. Out goes the Orange Twist paint job found on the original x-cite model, with the new x-cite distinguished by a bright blue metallic hue called Cyan Splash. This is complimented by gloss black treatment to the 15-inch alloy wheels, door mirror casings, front ‘x’ motif, front pillar extensions, and rear bumper inserts. Metallic black painted roof and front and rear pillars are a £395 optional extra.

The same Cyan Twist shade is found inside the cabin, on the air vent surrounds and carpet mat edging, while the dark grey seats boast contrasting blue and light grey bolsters. The centre console and gear shift surround are also finished in gloss black. The new Aygo x-cite includes the x-touch multimedia system featuring Bluetooth, DAB radio, and reversing camera. The model also boasts air conditioning, electrically-adjustable heated door mirrors, height-adjustable driver’s seat, split-folding rear seats, leather steering wheel and gear knob, front fog lights, and LED daytime running lights. Safety features include six airbags, ABS, vehicle stability control, and tyre pressure warning system.

Powered by Toyota’s three-cylinder, 1.0-litre petrol engine – which delivers up to 68,9mpg combined and CO2 emissions as low as 95g/km – the Aygo x-cite is available in both three and five-door body styles, with the latter having the option of the x-shift automatic transmission.

Meanwhile, the new Aygo x-pure joins the range also priced from £11,295. The Aygo x-pure is finished in White Flash with rear privacy glass, white painted alloys, and silver-finished bodywork details. The grey fabric seats feature white and light grey bolsters, while the centre console and gear shift surround are finished in silver and white. The equipment list for the x-pure is the same as for the new x-cite, as are the power, transmission, and body style options.

Both models are available to order now from Toyota’s UK retailer network.
