Good news for adventurous, outdoorsy types, as Ford have added new Active specification models to the Tourneo Connect and Transit Connect ranges.
Both feature rugged, SUV-style looks, raised ride height, and the option of an optional mechanical limited-slip differential, as well as a choice of five or seven seats. Ford’s engineering team has also reconfigured the traction control to further enhance performance when driving on challenging road surface. Roof rails are included as standard and are perfect for carrying equipment, bicycles, and canoes, while Active models also boast exclusive five-spoke, 17-inch alloy wheels, and tough additional cladding. Active badges and decals are an exterior feature, with two new paint finishes – Sedona Orange and Solar Silver – joining the choice of colours. On the inside are exclusive Active seat trim patters and metal sill scuff plates.
Powering the Tourneo Connect Active and Transit Connect Active is the 1.5-litre EcoBlue diesel engine, available in 99bhp and 118bhp versions with a choice of six-speed or eight-speed gearboxes. Technology includes Intelligent Speed Limiter, Pre-Collision Assist with Active Braking, Side Wind Stabilisation, and Active Park Assist.
Prices start from £21,285 for the Tourneo Connect Active, and £21,675 for the Transit Connect Active.
