MG have increased their share of the UK new car market every single month for the past three years, giving it claim to the title of fastest-growing car brand in the UK.

MG sold a total of 1,892 new cars in October – a market share of 1.34% - to take their year-to-date sales figure to 16,128, some 3,000 more MGs than were sold in the whole of 2019.  Significantly, 43% of MG sales last month were plug-in electric models, helped by the arrival of the new MG5 EV and MG HS Plug-in.  MG accounted for 7.7% of the UK’s battery electric vehicle market in October, making it a major player in the rapidly growing sector.

To meet demand, MG are planning a further expansion of their currently 112-strong dealer network by the end of this year.
