A one-off event will see Civic fanatics invited to get up close and personal with the new Type R.
After the new model was unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show, the Nurburgring event will give the public the opportunity to watch the Civic Type R feature in an exhilarating race weekend including an FIA World Touring Car Championship race.
The weekend will run from 15th to 17th May and will feature the historic ADAC Zurich 24hr sports car race and the FIA WTCC event as well as several other races. The Nurburgring venue is particularly appropriate being as the Honda Civic Type R recently racked up the quickest lap ever for a front wheel drive hot hatch.
Type R fans will be able to visit the pit lane, meet the drivers at a special question and answer session, tour the garage and even take to the circuit in their own car. Packages are available from €175 and will give car lovers a chance to see Team Castrol Honda drivers Gabriele Tarquini and Tiago Monteiro as they battle for victory on one of racing’s most famous stretches of racetrack.
