The DS line takes a further step away from your average Citroen with a new flagship model.
The DS range has been gaining popularity across the globe for its dynamism and avant-garde styling; now the new DS5 intends to tell consumers once and for all that with the DS brand you are getting so much more than just a run of the mill Citroen.
The front end is a point of pride for the design team and they hope to strike a profile which is instantly recognisable for its French style and sophistication. The vertical grille is home to the DS Wings signature which appears as two shafts of light leading into the headlight design.
Thierry Metroz, Head of DS Styling says “Referred to as a concept car on wheels, the DS 5 is a unique creation with expressive, hypnotic styling. For the new DS 5 we wanted to maintain the strong points that are a key part of its identity, while giving further emphasis to DS styling cues. The most symbolic example of course is the front end.”
The DS5 will debut at the Geneva Motor Show and will be ready to hit UK showrooms in July 2015.
