Suzuki has taken the wraps off its iV-4 compact SUV concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
First shown in a set of teaser images in July, the iV-4 is Suzuki's answer to the likes of the Nissan Juke and the Peugeot 2008 and will go on sale in the UK in 2015. The production version of the iV-4 will feature Suzuki's ALLGRIP four-wheel drive system which has already found use on the SX4 S-Cross.
Suzuki claims that the iV-4 is "faithful to Suzuki's traditional SUV design" of straight, sleek lines, a clamshell bonnet and a five-slotted front grille, while also featuring modern touches such as the character lines along the car's flanks.
The iV-4 has also been designed to be personalised, with a range of exterior parts, textures, colours and equipment combinations on offer for all buyers.
The new car is part of Suzuki's plans to expand its model line-up in the coming years. Three new models will join the Suzuki range before the end of 2016, including a new city car to replace the Alto and Splash, a new supermini to replace the Swift, and the new SX4 S-Cross.
