Suzuki are adding a new compact crossover to their line up, which will go on UK sale at the start of next year.
Called the Ignis, the new model will be unveiled to the world at next month’s Paris Motor Show.
Based on manufacturer’s latest-generation rigid lightweight platform, the Ignis comes with the option of Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki technology, a system which uses an electric motor to boost battery charge and increase efficiency.
The Ignis won’t be the only new face on the Suzuki stand, with the revamped SX4 S-Cross showing off its redesigned front end and interior. A brace of Boosterjet direct-injection turbo engines, in 1.0-litre or 1.4-litre form, have replaced the outgoing 1.6-litre petrol unit in the revised S-Cross range, which will go on UK sale in mid-October.
