Subaru has launched a new limited edition variant of its XV compact crossover.
The XV Black is finished in Crystal Black Silica paint and features a number of addition features not found on the standard model, including front, rear and side silver-resin underguards, front and rear mudflaps, a cargo step panel and a foldable cargo tray. On the inside, heavy-duty rubber floor mats are included as standard.
Available with either Subaru's 2.0-litre boxer diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox or a 2.0-litre boxer petrol unit mated to a Lineartronic automatic transmission, the XV Black is based on the existing SE model. Although the XV Black is £1,000 more expensive than the standard SE, Subaru claims it would cost £1,600 to add the equipment featured on the Black to the SE.
In addition to the equipment exclusive to the model, the XV comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, daytime-running lights, heated front seats, wiper de-icers, cruise control, folding door mirrors, dual-zone air-conditioning, rear view safety camera, Bluetooth, HID headlamps and rear privacy glass.
Prices for the new XV Black start from £24,495 for the petrol model and £24,995 for the diesel.
