The Ssangyong Rexton SUV and new Musso pick-up will now come as standard with a 7-year/150,000-mile warranty.

The eye-catching new warranty became standard from the start of this month, but Ssangyong have announced they will add the warranty free-of-charge to any new Rexton sold since launch.

Ssangyong’s UK boss Nick Laird explained, “We believe in the strength of our new truck so we’re announcing this new warranty which will also apply to Rexton on which Musso is based. No other pick-up or SUV comes with such comprehensive reassurance, and without the small-print of so many other manufacturer warranties.”

In addition to the Musso and Rexton, any other model in the Ssangyong line-up purchased since the start of this year can have the new warranty applied for just £500.

The new warranty covers major mechanical components including wheel bearings, suspension joints and bushes, steering joints, and shock absorbers as well as the audio system. Wearable components such as clutch discs and brake friction materials are covered for one year or 12,500 miles, and the battery and paintwork for three years.

Based on the Rexton, the new Ssangyong Musso pick-up is priced from £19,995 excluding VAT. It boasts a 1-tonne payload and 3.5 tonne towing capacity, with 4x4 system for rugged off-road capability.
