The SsangYong Korando compact SUV has been updated for 2014 with a range of aesthetic tweaks and improved refinement.
Priced from £14,995, order books are now open for the new Korando, with the first examples due to arrive in UK dealerships by the end of the year.
On the outside, the Korando gets a new black mesh radiator grille, new projector headlights with LED daytime-running lights and a wider low-level air intake. Top-of-the-range models also get round fog lamps set within the lower bumper.
At the back there are new LED rear light clusters and underneath there are two new designs for the 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels. Three new exterior colours are also on offer: Sunrise red, Cosmic blue and Carbonic grey.
Inside, the Korando gets a redesigned dashboard with soft-touch materials, matte wood grain inserts, a mobile phone tray, a sunglasses tray and larger cup holders.
The new Korando is powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine fitted to the old model, with a choice of 147bhp and 173bhp outputs. Although the engine is the same, however, SsangYong has fitted new engine mounts which are claimed to reduce noise levels by 9.3 per cent.
