Jeep has announced a sporty new limited edition version of its Grand Cherokee, the SRT Red Vapor Limited Edition.
The new model boasts a 461bhp, 6.4-litre V8 power plant, with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, giving the Grand Cherokee SRT Red Vapor Limited Edition a top speed of 160mph, and a 0-62mph of five seconds flat.
The limited edition model debuted at last October’s Paris Motor Show, where its muscular styling and comprehensive equipment list caught the attention of sports SUV aficionados. The Red Vapor Limited Edition comes with Quadra-Trac Active-on-Demand four wheel drive, anti-lock SRT performance disc brakes and active damping suspension, body-coloured door handles, black roof moulding, body-coloured sill extensions, body-coloured wheel flare extensions, five-spoke 20-inch Goliath wheels and a model-specific Black Vapor black chrome finish. It is further distinguished from the rest of the Grand Cherokee range by a lower grille, and all gloss black SRT tailgate badge, side Grand Cherokee badges and bonnet Jeep badge.
The Red Vapor Limited Edition comes with a choie of three exterior paint finishes: Metallic Red, Bright White, and Brilliant Black. Meanwhile, in the cabin you get Black Laguna leather and Radar Red suede seat with red stitched, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob. It is also equipped with an 8.4-inch Uconnect touch-screen display with integrated 3D navigation, advanced voice recognition, Bluetooth audio streaming and hands-free technology, as well as cross-path detection, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, a 19-speaker 825-watt Harman-Kardon audio system, power tailgate, and rear light bar.
The new Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Red Vapor goes on sale this week with a price tag of £64,999.
