Skoda’s flagship Superb model is to be updated, with an interior and exterior facelift and new technology.
Full LED Matrix headlights are now available – a first for Skoda – while Predictive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection up to 70-metres have also been added to the Superb range.
Exterior changes include a redesigned radiator grille, a chunkier front bumper, and an additional rear chrome trim. The inside will now feature chrome highlights, new seat covers, and coloured contrasting stitching.
S, SE, SE Technology, SE L, SportLine Plus and Laurin & Klement trim continue to make up the Superb range, and as before all models will have LED front and rear lights, seven airbags, touchscreen infotainment system with DAB, voice control and SmartLink+ for smartphone connectivity all included as standard.
Prices start from £24,655 for the 1.6 TDI-powered S hatchback model, and the range is topped off by the 2.0 litre TSI-powered Laurent & Klement DSG 4X4 estate which carries a price tag of £40,695 on-the-road.
A new 1.5 TSI petrol and 2.0-litre TDI diesel join the engine options later this year, while in early 2020 they will be joined by the first ever electrified Skoda – the Superb iV plug-in hybrid – powered by a 1.4 TSI petrol and an 85kW electric motor. The Superb iV will have sub-40g/km CO2 emissions, and an all-electric, zero-emissions range of up to 34 miles.
