A revised Skoda Fabia is to be revealed at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
Front and rear design updates include new headlights and front fog lights. LED headlights and LED rear lights will be available on the Fabia for the first time. Alloy wheel choices will increase with the addition of 18-inch wheels for the hatchback. A redesigned instrument cluster, new trim strips for the dashboard and two-tone finishes for the seats comprise the interior update.
Power options will consist of four 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engines. The two indirect injection MPI engines produce outputs of 60 bhp and 75 bhp respectively, while the two turbocharged direct injection TSI power plants generate 95 bhp and 110 bh and are fitted with a petrol particulate filter.
Blind Spot Detection will be available, as will Rear Traffic Alert and Light Assist.
The ‘Swing’ infotainment system now offers a 6.5-inch display, and range of Skoda Connect mobile online service. SmartLink+ technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLinkTM and SmartGate standards.
More of Skoda’s ’Simply Clever‘ features have been added. The ice scraper concealed in the fuel filler flap now incorporates a gauge for measuring the tyre tread depth. The Fabia can also be chosen with USB ports for the rear-seat passengers, and a double-sided boot mat. The side compartment in the boot of the Fabia Estate also features a portable LED flashlight.
The updated Fabia range will go on sale later this year.
