Skoda have announced reaching a production milestone, with the 100,000th example of the third-generation Superb rolling off the assembly line little more than a year after its introduction.
In total, over 850,000 Superbs have been made since the model was launched fifteen years ago, with the second generation coming in 2008 and the current third-generation model entering production in March last year.
The latest Superb, with its Euro 6 compliant engines, is up to 30% more economical than its predecessors, as well as benefitting from improved power output, environmental protection, safety systems, and comfort.
Available as both saloon and estate, the third-generation Skoda Superb has collected numerous European awards since it was launched, including the Red Dot Award for excellent product design.
The 100,000th third-generation Skoda Superb was completed at the company’s Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic last week.
