A new trim level is joining the Skoda Scala range.
The new Monte Carlo specification will be unveiled at this month’s Frankfurt Motor Show, and the sporty model will come as standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, new front bumper, black radiator grille, redesigned rear bumper, wide side skirts, new tailgate spoiler, LED headlights, black mirror caps, rear privacy glass, and panoramic roof.
On the inside, the Scala Monte Carlo boasts a multifunction sports steering wheel, LED ambient lighting, aluminium sports pedals, sports seats trimmed in unique Monte Carlo upholstery, black headlining, and both the gear lever and handbrake gaiter finished in black leather with red stitching. The shares the 9.2-inch Amundsen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument binnacle, climate control, and chrome-trimmed air vents and door handles with the current top-of-the-range SE L mode.
A turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, in either 94bhp or 113bhp outputs, a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder 148bhp petrol, or a 113bhp 1.6-litre four-cylinder diesel unit comprise the powertrain option for the Scala Monte Carlo.
The Scala Monte Carlo will enter production later this year and hit the roads early in 2020.
