UK launch details for the all-new Skoda Scala hatchback have been announced.
The new model will hit UK showrooms this summer priced from £16,595 on-the-road. There will be a choice of two petrol engines and one diesel at first, with a third entry-level 94bhp 1.0-litre TSI petrol power plant to join the line up later in the summer. All engines apart from the entry-level petrol come with the option of a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
Kicking off the Scala range is the S trim, which includes 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, leather steering wheel, leather gear and handbrake lever, height adjustable driver’s seat, air-conditioning, DAB digital radio, front and rear electric windows, a Swing infotainment system with 6.5-inch screen, front head and side airbags, Front assist, Lane assist, Speed limiter, and Emergency call with proactive services.
Mid-range SE models are priced from £18,580, and add features such as cruise control, rear parking sensors, Bolero infotainment system with 8-inch touchscreen, integrated umbrella, and height adjustable passenger seat to the list of standard equipment.
Priced from £20,380 on-the-road, the range-topping SE L adds the Amundsen infotainment system with 9.2-inch glass touchscreen, digital cockpit, climate control air conditioning, keyless entry with start/stop, colour multifunction trip computer, 17-inch alloy wheels, full LED rear lights, dynamic indicators and privacy glass on the rear windows, silver Microsuede upholstery, and chrome details on the dashboard, door panelling, gear and handbrake lever.
Skoda retailers will start taking orders for the all-new Scala from May onwards.
