Skoda has launched the UK pricing and specification details for the all-new Superb, which will go on sale later this year.
The new Superb will be launched with the widest range of engine, transmission and trim options ever offered on Skoda’s flagship model.
There’ll be seven engines on offer, with some models also available with DSG and four-wheel drive transmissions. Buyers will be able to choose from four TSI petrol engines and three TDI diesels, with outputs ranging from 118bhp for the 1.6 diesel to 277bhp for the 2.0-litre petrol.
Four trim levels will be available: S, SE, SE L Executive and Laurin & Klement, with each level offering more than its equivalent on the old Superb.
The new Superb is also longer and wider than is predecessor, which not only allows for more interior space but also increases the boot size by 30-litres. Despite this, the new car is 75kg lighter than the old model thanks to VW’s new MQB architecture.
As you’d expect, the new Superb is also brimming with tech. The new car features a ‘virtual pedal system’ which allows you top open the boot by waving your foot under the rear bumper, along with full integration of Apple and Android phones. Blind spot detection, Rear traffic alert and both parking and traffic jam assist are also available.
Prices for the new Skoda Superb will start from £18,640 for the entry-level S model with a 1.4-litre petrol engine, rising to £33,840 for the top-of-the-range Laurin & Klement 2.0 TDI.
