A successful year for the Skoda brand continues as it is announced that one million vehicles have been delivered so far in 2016.

Skoda have reached the million mark a full month quicker than in 2015, and have now enjoyed seven-digit deliveries for three consecutive years. The flagship Superb model has been a major factor, with almost 115,000 produced to meet demand so far in 2016, up by a staggering 85.2% on the previous year. Upgrades to the Octavia range and the release of the Kodiaq SUV have further boosted Skoda sales.

“The current financial year shows that Skoda can sustainably tap into new customer segments with a modern model range on the international markets,” said company CEO Bernhard Maier, adding: “The new Skoda Kodiaq is going to play an important role in this; the model will expand our range in the growing SUV segment.”
