Order books have opened for the new SEAT Leon e-HYBRID.

SEAT’s first ever plug-in hybrid is priced from £30,970 on-the-road, and has a drivetrain which utilises an electric motor along with a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine and six-speed DSG gearbox to produce a 201bhp system capable of 0-62mph in just 7.5 seconds, CO2 emissions as low as 27g/km, and a combined fuel economy upwards of 217.3mpg.

Power is supplied to the electric motor via a 13kWh lithium-ion battery.  This is recharged by a 3.6kW AC inlet and can be fully charged from 0 per cent in under 4 hours. The Leon e-HYBRID has an all-electric range of 36 miles.

FR, FR Sport, Xcellence, Xcellence Lux and First Edition trims are available at launch.

The all-new Leon e-HYBRID is available to order at SEAT retailers.
