SEAT has added a new trim level to its Altea range. The new I Tech edition replaces the current Copa SE trim in the Altea line-up, adding extra equipment at no extra cost.

In addition to the equipment already included on the Copa SE model, the I Tech edition gets 16-inch titanium-finish alloy wheels, front parking sensors, a colour TFT screen for rear passengers and forward-sliding rear seats. Additional equipment includes dark tinted rear windows, roof rails, dual-zone climate control, automatic lights and wipers, rear parking sensors, sat-nav and Bluetooth, a double floor boot and overhead interior storage.

From this month, the I Tech edition becomes the only model available in a simplified Altea range. There is, however, a choice between three powertrains: a 1.6 diesel with 104bhp, the same engine with a DSG gearbox and a 2.0-litre diesel with 138bhp.

Two new colours have also been introduced across the range: Bahama Blue and Technic Grey.

Prices for the new SEAT Altea I Tech start from £19,345, with the first customer deliveries expected in December.
