The revised Mazda CX-3 line up goes on sale at the end of this month.
The simplified eight model range was revealed at the New York Motor Show earlier this year, and sees the new SKYACTIV-D 1.8-litre diesel engine.
Styling changes see the introduction of a revised grille, darker side pillar treatment, and the option of Mazda’s signature Soul Red Crystal Metallic paint.
SE Nav+, SE-L Nav+ and Sport Nav+ trim levels are available, and all apart from the entry-level 121ps SE Nav+ come with front LED fog lights and rear privacy glass. Sport Nav+ cars have 18-inch silver alloy wheels, LED headlights, signature LED rear lights and chrome effect front bumper and side trim garnishes.
The biggest changes come on the inside. The adoption of an electric parking brake sees the introduction of a completely redesigned centre console, while the Mazda Multimedia Commander has been moved forward for improved usability. The changes also allow space for a padded armrest with console storage box underneath. Improved front seats have high-damping urethane foam cushions, while the rear seats feature a central armrest with built in cup holders. Upgraded door sill trims, thicker sound isolation, enhanced rear glazing, and an increase in the cabin headliner thickness result in a quieter cabin environment.
Ride and handling has been improved by new coil springs, dampers, and front anti-roll bar, while the electric power steering has been recalibrated.
The 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G petrol engine has been joined by a new 1.8-litre SKYACTIV-D diesel with new egg-shaped pistons and ultra-high response multi-hole injectors. All engines in the new CX-3 line up meet Euro 6d temp emissions standards.
The revised CX-3 range hits Mazda showrooms from 31 August.
