Land Rover’s Halewood plant has produced 600,000 examples Range Rover Evoque in just six years, and a new special edition has been announced to celebrate achieving that landmark figure.
Called, appropriately, the Landmark edition, the new model will be priced from £39,000. It will makes its world premiere at this week’s Royal Windsor Horse Show, when order books will also open.
The Range Rover Evoque Landmark edition comes finished in Yulong White and Corris Grey, with a distinctive Moraine Blue available as a premium option. It’s dynamic body kit and grey exterior design details include a Carpathian Grey fixed panoramic roof, 19-inch Gloss Dark Grey alloy wheels and Graphite Atlas grille, bonnet, bumper vent and tailgate lettering. The Dark Grey theme continues inside, on the brushed satin centre console trim finishers and grained Ebony leather seats with contrasting Light Lunar stitching. Keyless Entry and Powered Gesture Tailgate also feature as standard, while further technology options include 10-inch InControl Touch Pro system with apps such as Spotify and a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, Remote Premium app for smartphone and smart watch which lets owners check the fuel level, lock status, location and even pre-heat or cool the cabin, and Touch Pro Services which offer real-time traffic mapping, satellite and street-level views and a Live Apps sidebar with weather, news headlines, a flight tracker and more.
The Landmark model has been produced to celebrate the feat of production achieved by the Halewood factory, where a new Evoque rolls of the production line every 170 seconds. Eighty percent are for export to one of 130 markets, helping Jaguar Land Rover to become one of the UK's largest exporters.
