Skoda have confirmed pricing and specification details for the new Fabia Estate ahead of the order books opening next month.
There will be three trim levels – S, SE, and SE-L – and prices with start from £12,460.
Standard equipment level has been enhanced in comparison to the outgoing model. Entry-level S models have six airbags, DAB digital radio, Bluetooth, Stop/Start and electric front windows included as standard, while SE models gain air-conditioning, alloy wheels, Front assist, surround sound, Mirror Link, USB and SD card connections. The SE trim also features a three-spoke leather steering wheel, height adjustable driver and passenger seat, Maxi-DOT trip computer and black roof rails. Top-of-the-range models boast 16-inch alloy wheels, climate control, Light assistant, cruise control and keyless entry system.
The new generation Skoda Fabia Estate, which was unveiled at September’s Paris Motor Show, also brings with it improvements in other areas. Although stronger and larger than the model it replaces, the new Fabia Estate 65kg lighter. The new model is up to 17 per cent more efficient as a result, and seven of the seventeen-strong line-up qualify for exemption from paying road tax. The boot now has 530 litres of space, growing to 1,395 litres with the seats down, and although the car is slightly lower than its predecessor there is an increase in headroom for front seat occupants.
The 1.0-litre MPI petrol-engined versions provide the introduction to each trim level, starting at £12,460 for the S, £13,905 for the SE, and £14,755 for the SE-L. The range-topping Skoda Fabia Estate 1.4 TDI DSG has an on-the-road price of £18,385. Orders can be placed from Decemer, with deliveries scheduled to commence in March next year.
